For employees of the University of Utrecht who are starting to teach, there is the “Start to Teach” programme.
The programme is offered in both Dutch and English and consists of two training days: a starting day and a follow-up day after ten weeks.

The two-day training includes an introduction to the Utrecht educational model and training in several didactical skills. It covers topics such as student motivation, activating teaching methods, and the role of assessments. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to have their teaching observed by the trainer and can participate in peer coaching with other participants.

The program is offered at the beginning of each teaching block, and registration can be done through the Development Guide. There are no costs associated with this training for the participants.
